Are you a player who likes to play blackjack just for fun? Or are you in it for a bit of profit? Quite frankly there’s space for both kinds of blackjack players if you know where to look – and that’s online.
Those players who enjoy just a relaxed game of blackjack can find lots of free sites online to play the game. Typing something along the lines of free blackjack download will probably yield some good results and give you either a good computer-based game to play or a community site on which you can play against other live players for fake stakes.
Those players who prefer money games, on the other hand, can still find a place to play in a variety of online casinos. These casinos offer from low to high stakes games and are a perfect place to hone your skills for real life tournaments with friends or at casinos.
Some people at this point are probably asking how to play blackjack in the first place. Online or offline, for free or for money, the rules are the same: you have to get as close to 21 points worth of cards without going over. How are points calculated? By counting up the values of your cards, of course. You play against the dealer and tell them to hit you with cards in an attempt to get as close to 21 as possible while still beating the dealer’s total (as they’re playing the same game as you). If the player hits above the dealer’s play blackjack total while staying below 22 then they win; if they both get the same total then there’s a tie; and if the dealer gets more than the player then the player loses the round, along with their bet.
Sounds simple? It’s not as easy as you might think, though it’s also not that terribly difficult to get the hang of, either. You’ve just got to learn what amounts are safe enough to stand with and which are too risky not to ask for one more card on.
